We collect only what's required to run the service:

Account information: Name, email, company name when you sign up.

Content you give us access to: We index content from the tools you connect (GitHub, Slack, Confluence, etc.) to provide search functionality. We only access what you explicitly authorize.

Usage data: Search queries and feature usage to provide the service. We don't track you across the web or collect unnecessary analytics.

To provide the service: We use your connected content to power search and answer questions.

To improve Meshum: We analyze usage patterns to make the product better. All analysis is done in aggregate—we're not reading your individual queries.

To communicate with you: Product updates, security notices, and responses to your support requests.

Privacy first: We believe in collecting only what we need and being transparent about how we use it.

Self-hosted deployments: If you run Meshum on your own infrastructure, we don't store any of your content. It stays entirely on your servers. We only receive basic usage telemetry (if enabled) to help improve the product.

Cloud deployments: For cloud-hosted instances, your data is stored on secure infrastructure with automatic backups and redundancy.

Encryption: Your data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS.

Access control: Access to data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to provide support or maintain the service.

We don't sell your data. Ever. Your company's knowledge is yours, not a product we monetize.

We don't train AI models on your data. Your content stays yours and isn't used to train public models.

We don't share with third parties except for essential service providers (hosting, analytics) who are contractually bound to protect your data.

Access: You can request a copy of your data at any time.

Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data. When you disconnect an integration, we delete that indexed content.

Portability: You can export your data in standard formats.

Correction: You can update or correct your account information anytime.

On this website: We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our marketing site. Clarity aligns with our privacy-first approach and doesn't sell your data or use it for advertising.

In the Meshum product: We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. No tracking, no analytics scripts, no third-party cookies.

We don't sell your browsing data or use invasive tracking anywhere.

We keep your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.

After you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days, except where we're legally required to retain it (like financial records).

We'll update this policy as needed. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or through the product.
